Lacrosse Officials End Season with Awards
June 14, 2014 - The Genesee Valley Lacrosse Officials Association celebrated fifty years of service at their Year End Gathering last week. Organization President, Jim Malloy led the group as they held their business meeting and the presented a number of awards. Full Report

Senior Games Up this Friday at Victor
June 10, 2014 - The Rochester Chapter of USLacrosse has announced the 2014 Herb Fitch Lacrosse All Star Game final player selections. This year`s contest, featuring some of the best of the graduating seniors will be held on Friday, June 13th at Victor High School. Full Report

Spencerport Rangers Looking for New Head Coach
June 16, 2014 - The Spencerport District has posted an opening for their Boys Lacrosse program. Preferred credentials include NYS Teacher Certificate and/or NYS Coaching Certificate, NYS Coaching first aid, adult CPR.AED and successful previous coaching experience with strong leadership skills. Finger Lakes Announced 2014 Awards
June 3, 2014 - The All Star list is out recognizing the Monroe County League players for the 2014 season. Senior midfielder Eric Munn (Canandaigua) and defenseman Nick Panara (Pittsford) were named US Lacrosse Academic All Americans. Junior midfielder Kevin Hill (Thomas) along with senior attackmen Trevor Hodgins (Churchville-Chili), Justin Kesselring (Fairport-A/M) and Stephen Quinzi (Pittsford) were selected as US Lacrosse All Americans. June 3, 2014 - June 3, 2014 - After the quarter final games on Saturday, May 31st. There are two sites running quarter final games, including the "Western Semifinals" which feature Section Three hosting Section Five at Cicero-North Syracuse High School in Cicero (Syracuse). The Eastern Semifinals will be held at Hofstra University at the same time. Full Report

Wednesday: Good Games but Clean Sweep for Section 3
June 4, 2014 - All three games could have gone either way, and the teams from Section Five played well, but all three fell to the team from Section Three in the semi final round. Fairport, in Class A lost 10-9 in overtime to Fayetteville-Manlius. Victor scored eight goals in the second quarter and led 10-5 at the half, but fell to Jamesville-Dewitt 17-13 in the Class B game. Penn Yan lost to Cazenovia for the second time in two years. Last year it was by one goal, and this year by two. Cazenovia, who now has a thirty-three game winning streak will once again defend their Championship when they play Bronxville on Saturday. F-M will play Massepeaqua and J-D will play Yorktown. The Championships will be at Hofstra University. The NYS brackets are available for Class A, Class B and Class C. Full Report

NYS: Clean Sweep Tournament
June 7, 2014 - June 7, 2014 - At least as far as the Upstate tournaments were concerned, it was a series of clean sweeps. In the out bracket round it was a clean sweep for Section Three. In the quarter finals Section Five teams swept Section Six and Section Three swept Section 10. In the semi finals it was a swept for Section three over Section Five and in the finals the Section Three teams all lost to Downstate teams. Full Report

GRALL Announces 2014 Awards
June 2, 2014 - The All Star list is out recognizing the GRALL players for the 2014 season. Senior attackman, Alex Bianchi from Aquinas was selected as GRALL "Player of the Year". The GRALL coaches gave the Sportsmanship award to All GRALL Teams. Full Report
