white Lacrosse Scholarships
lax pic Back in February of 2007, Coach Wilson posted a blog story called "Doing The Scholarship Math". The article pointed out the somewhat often misconception that scholarships in lacrosse were easy to find and get. In fact, the story demonstrated that a player would need to be among the top two percent of players to receive, in most cases, a partial scholarship. Full Report

white 2011 Post-Season Wrap Up
lax pic Post-Season 2011 - Section V lacrosse added another team (Gananda) to its roster which now totals thirty-six teams and 1,076 players.Lots of games were played and after Sectional Champions were determined, Section Five sent Pittsford, Irondequoit and Penn Yan on to the New York State Tournaments. white Section Five Player Database Now Available
lax pic (August 29, 2009) - SportsFive has announced the addition of a new feature on Sportsfive.NET. The "Player Profile" area contains individual pages for each of the more than 2,300 Section Five lacrosse players in the database. Information includes the player's team, class, scorebook data (starting in 2007), sectional awards won and a comment area, where team awards, club team membership and other lacrosse information may be found. New York Tournament History Availablenys map
The first New York State Lacrosse Tournament was held in 1977 with Elmont (Section 8) the first champion. There were only six teams entered in the '77 tournament. Section Five first entered the tournament in 1978 with Rush Henrietta losing to Farmingdale 7-4 in the semi final round.
