--  Special Pittsford`s starting defense played three excellent quarters and one mediocre quarter, but that last quarter was enough for Fairport to come up with a win with 0:16 left in regulation. The Red Raiders scored six goals in the final quarter, including the last five in their 7-6 win over the Panthers. Pittsford`s Mike Perotto, Nick Panara, Greg Weyl and Colby Barker played a great game and had standout performances. Pittsford started off strong in the first half, scoring three goals and holding the Red Raiders scoreless. The Panthers scored two first quarter goals. Both were during man-up situations for the Panthers. The first came with 4:50 remaining with Owen Smith assisting Billy Cooper from behind the cage as the penalty was released. With 0:08, Jonathan Perotto scored with an outside shot and an assist from Brandon Barker. Pittsford added a single goal in the second quarter with Stephen Quinzi picking up a loose ball behind the cage and driving around the left side for the unassisted goal. Quinzi was named to the All Tournament team for Pittsford. The quarter concluded with a conduct foul followed by an unsportsmanlike conduct foul. Pittsford began the third quarter with the ball.

Dan McAvoy scored unassisted with an outside shot to put Fairport on the board. McAvoy finished the game with 2g and was named to the All Tournament team for Fairport. His younger brother, freshman Kyle McAvoy, was also added to the team after a stellar performance in the semi and quarter final rounds.
