Lacrosse in New York Section Five |
Welcome to SportsFive Newsletters,
This has been a spring to remember. I don't remember playing in such beautiful weather. We are very much in the mix now with 42 games scheduled for this week.
Most of the teams have now set up their procedures and we are receiving the majority of the team reports right after games. You may note a few teams with little or no coverage other than the score. If your favorite team is one of them, you may want to volunteer to help the coach get the information to us on game night so that an article can be written.
Some articles, marked with the "Sportsfive report" logo have been prepared by on-field reporters.
Enjoy the great weather and wonderful competition this week - Until Next Time,
The SportsFive Team |

-- WEEK TWO RANKINGS ON SPORTSFIVE.NET |
| The weekly rankings are up on the front page of SportsFive.NET. There were not a lot of changes in game playing week 2, except for Class C. The top two in Class A remain Fairport and Pittsford, in Class B it is still Canandaigua and Irondequoit and in Class C Penn Yan and Aquinas top the list. See the full lists and our explanations on the front page. |

-- LOTS OF GAMES THIS WEEK |
There are forty-two games scheduled for this week and lots of good match-ups.
It's hard to pick a single "Game of the Week", but we want to see how C-C plays Penfield (Tuesday) and Schroeder (Thursday) and how the Webster teams stack up against each other (on Tuesday). We also will be interested in the Fairport-Irondequoit game on Thursday and Geneva vs Midlakes (also on Thursday). On Saturday, Penn Yan - Carthage could be interesting and Churchville plays at Brighton.
Of course, when your team is playing, it is the Game of the Week.

-- NEED DIRECTIONS TO THE GAME? |
Are you wondering how to get quick directions to the game?
Near the top of the front page, on game days, there are a list of the games to be played. The column for location contains links to our mapping area. You will be able to see aerial images of the site, street maps and views and can use Google Maps to get directions. Look for the "Get Directions" link in the upper left hand corner.
You can also get directions from the Features Page (Maps and Directions).

-- IRONDEQUOIT PLAYS DUXBURY |
Although we were unable to report of the game, the Eagles traveled to Massachusetts last week to play Duxbury High School, last year's Mass State Champions and lost in the last minutes of the game. The game, played at the Harvard University Stadium, was covered by their local press.
A copy of a report can be found here. It sounds like it was a great game by two very good teams.
