Saturday - Earning the Medal Rounds

- After two days of double sessions, it was a relief to be playing just one game on Saturday. The medal rounds were determined today as Long Island remained undefeated at 5-0 and Central won a one-goal game with Hudson Valley for the other spot. That left Western and Hudson Valley in the bronze medal game and New York City and Adirondack without a game on Sunday.

Western was hoping to keep the score down in the faint hope that they might win a spot in the gold medal game if the tie breaking procedure would be decided by the "goals against" criteria. By the end of the night, it did not matter since the Hudson Valley vs Central score was so low. So Western will meet Hudson Valley to play for the bronze medal. Click here for the story.
